Recently, the Processing Plant of Zhegujiang Dairy Farm in Changtang Town, Liubei District runs in full swing. A dozen of refrigerated delivery trucks loaded with fresh milk can be found to move out of the dairy farm successively and rush to every store and supermarket in Liuzhou.

Wei Qibiao, deputy general manager of Liuzhou Sanyuan Tianai Dairy Co., Ltd., introduced that the company has two dairy farms in Liuzhou: Zhegujiang Dairy Farm and Yangjiaoshan Dairy Farm. Among them, Zhegujiang Dairy Farm covers an area of more than 400 mu, with a dairy farming history of more than 60 years. It is among the first batch of dairy farms in Guangxi, with an annual output of more than 3,000 tons of fresh milk in recent years. Zhegujiang Dairy Farm has not only enabled the surrounding farmers to get employed near their hometown, but also promoted the planting of local corn silage. There are more than 800 cows in the dairy farm, each of which consumes 10 tons of corn silage a year on average. All the corn silage needed by the dairy farm is planted and supplied by the people around Changtang Town, which can increase the income of 3,100 local households every year. At the same time, some pleasant changes have also taken place, including the introduction of higher quality of equipment and forage in recent years, improved infrastructure construction, and increasing milk production of dairy cows. The milk production in January and February this year has exceeded that in the same period of previous years.
