On April 23, the reporter learned from Liuzhou Dongcheng Petrochemical Co., Ltd. that the city’s first hydrogen refueling station, located at Sinopec Boyuan Gas Station in Liudong New District, has received the inaugural license of Liuzhou for filling hydrogen vehicle cylinders. This authorization legally enables the station to supply compressed hydrogen to hydrogen-powered vehicles, representing a significant milestone in Liuzhou’s hydrogen energy infrastructure.

On April 23, during a site visit, reporters observed distinct blue-and-white hydrogen dispensers labeled with the chemical symbol “H2”, along with specialized storage tanks for compressed hydrogen in the adjacent storage area.

Station manager Ms. Liu confirmed that the facility includes one dispenser with a total storage capacity of 500 kg and a maximum refueling capacity of 500 kg, delivering hydrogen with a purity of 99.999%. The station obtained its filling license from the Market Supervision Administration of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in March and currently caters to hydrogen-powered test vehicles developed by Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor.

Tan Jiayi, General Manager of Liuzhou Dongcheng Petrochemical Co., Ltd., highlighted the advantages of hydrogen as a clean energy solution, noting that hydrogen-powered vehicles emit only water vapor, resulting in zero pollution. With increasing market interest in hydrogen-powered vehicles, this station not only sets industry benchmarks but also supports local automakers’ research and development of hydrogen-powered vehicles, significantly advancing the development of Liuzhou’s hydrogen energy sector.
