Recently, entering the one-thousand-mu core demonstration base for navel orange (honey orange) planting located at Tunlatun, Dingji Village, Chuanshan Town, Liujiang District, Liuzhou, people could see the navel oranges covered with branches and fill the mountains with refreshing fragrance. Picking one to taste, you will find that the sweet juice immediately lingers in your mouth and brings sweetness to your heart.

It is understood that the harvesting of around one thousand mu of navel oranges makes fruit farmers busy in picking, which has become the most beautiful scenery of Tunlatun, Dingji Village. According to Qin Huaiwei, head of the base, navel orange is a new variety, and when it is ripe, the pulp looks yellow to red, with even color. Navel orange tastes juicy with high sugar and little dross, and its skin has a unique aroma which is more pleasant after being peeled. The base began planting navel oranges in 2018, covering an area of 1,060 mu. The navel oranges of the base have grown well this year, beginning to bear fruit, with the output expected to be 1,000 kilograms per mu and the total output value ranging from 8 million yuan to 10 million yuan. They will be sold to different parts of the country.
