There is good news for the development of new energy vehicles in Liuzhou recently. The General Office of the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region issued “The Three-year Action Plan for Guangxi to Expand Effective Investment (2021-2023)”. As stated in the plan, Guangxi will focus on promoting the construction of a number of major industrial projects such as new energy vehicles of Guangxi Automobile Group.

It is reported that this year, Liuzhou will foster and develop strategic emerging industries, vigorously develop the new energy vehicle industry, spare no effort to build the industrial chain for new energy vehicles of SAIC-GM-Wuling and Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor, and speed up the construction of Guangxi Automobile Group’s new energy vehicle base. In addition, Liuzhou will also cultivate an industrial cluster for new energy vehicles with a total output value of 50 billion yuan, and build a national demonstration area for new energy vehicle application and operation. The new energy vehicle project of Guangxi Automotive Group is among the first batch of major (renewal) projects promoted at the autonomous-region level in 2021, with a total investment of 2.469 billion yuan, of which 1 billion yuan is planned to be invested in 2021. After completion, the annual output will be 100,000 new energy vehicles.
