Liu Mayor Park

The Liu mayor park, a national grade AAAA tourism scenic region, is located in the north shore of Liu river in Liuzhou downtown. It was built in the memory of the great writer Liu Zongyuan in Tang dynasty, who was the mayor of Liuzhou. The park is not only one of the most famous ancient relics but also the only one national park in Guangxi.It was built in the first year of Xuantong period of Qing dynasty. In the park, there are Lo pond, Liu mayor temple, Liu’s clothing tomb, orange pavilion and others.
The Park has a "gold stone rhyme" of cultural landscapes and more than 30 pieces of various shapes of the natural ink stone dotted both sides of trails. The ink stone was engraved 180 poems in a seal shape. The poems were written by Liu Zongyuan in Liuzhou. Liu's achievements in thought and literature are demonstrated in three-dimensional and intuitive way to visitors in the integration of ancient golden stone art and marvelous stone culture. You can also see Liu cultural scenic spot, the Chinese Garden and other attractions in the park.
