The Liuzhou zoo, at No. 39, silver road, Liunan distict, Liuzhou, covering an area of 413.5 mu and being 4.5 km from downtown, is a collection of raising and breeding of wildlife and popular education. The zoo is built against the hat mountain. The mountain circling the zoo makes itself a natural fence for the zoo. The animal sightseeing and recreation are the main functional area of the park.

The animal sightseeing is a semi-ecological area with exhibition of more than 700 animals in nearly hundred kinds. Sika deer, mouth deer, melon wow deer, African Ostriches, Austrilia Ostriches, dwarf horses and others, more than ten kinds of herbivores live here. The excellent animal performances are shown in three animal halls of lions and tigers, sea lion and elephants. In the amphibans and reptilias halls, visitors can see the sturgeon which is a rare and ancient fish, turtle which is referred as a live fossil, alligator and different kinds of snakes. Visitors could obtain the popular scientific knowledge in the process of sightseeing.

Also a variety of facilities are available in recreation area, such as exercise square, viewing pavilion, playground, holiday inn, barbecue ground and amusement park which makes you thrill.
